I've been looking around for a good host to host a Wordpress.org blog.  The ones that look promising are:

GoDaddy.com
hostgator.com
bluehost.com
dreamhost.com

Has anyone used these?

I'm want something reliable...and...the less complicated, the better  Smiley

Thanks

I use GoDaddy. To me, all hosting stuff seems complicated (I'm not technially inclined). I've managed to figure out my way around GD's interface. Can't say how it compares with others, however. Prices at GD are good and you can always find coupon codes.

I use GoDaddy too. It is pretty easy to navigate. I have no experience with any others so I can't really compare.

I have MomGiveaways.com hosted through MidPhase and would not recommend them!  I go through spells where the site is consistently down and then I'll go months with no problems.  It very frustrating.  I have some other sites on Host Gator and haven't add any problems with those.  I'm actually in the process of moving all my sites from MidPhase to Host Gator.

I believe Host Gator has a pretty good reputation.

As a designer and a hosting provider, I can't recommend GoDaddy. I've used them before and have clients who have used them, and I just didn't enjoy the experience at all.

I've heard of folks who like BlueHost ok. I think Host Gator is over priced.

If you're looking for a big-name, Gate.com is good. One of my clients uses them and I've found them to be very reliable and user friendly. I've also used Yahoo's hosting in the past, and liked them as well.

Or, I can offer you hosting that is backed by Rackspace and Mosso. They are some of the BEST out there, but aren't available in small packages. I'm a reseller, so I can provide you with any size package you'd like and would be more than happy to help you set up WP and get your database and such lined out for you...

Send me a message if you'd like some pricing.

I use http://www.liquidesign.com. They are a small woman run provider and I've never had a problem with them. They already have the latest v. of Wordpress on their backend, so install is a breeze. They also offer lots of e-commerce tools, mailers, etc for free, all accessible from the backend if you please.

I've never had a problem, they've been really awesome regarding billing (they offer PayPal based payments, if you like) and have always been incredibly helpful.  I love them.

I currently host 2 blogs on hostgator and 2 on laughingsquid (I have learned to navigate my way around laughing squid but never have got the hang of cpanel and hostgator)

Hope that helps!

I use E-Starr hosting. And it's awesome. The owner is on top of everything and she gets right back to you when you need help. I love it. Here's the website:

I really recommend them. Smiley
