[Mama4Kids]

I am really just at a loss of where to ask this, but I was wondering if anyone could critique my main blog http://mama4kids.blogspot.com/. I can never be sure if I am headed in the right direction, and my visitor feedback is really low, even tho I get an average of 8 *new* visitors a day.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Hi Mel,
Thanks for your post.

Your content is appealing. But there's something getting in the way...

The magenta and pink hurts my eyes. Your header is so large that readers (at least those looking at a tiny laptop screen like I am) have to scroll down to read your content. Some will do it, but some won't. IMO, Taking care of these things will help your return reader rate. Which, of course, is not what you asked about.

You're a new blogger, and while it's easy to get caught up in your stats, I recommend focusing on your content, building relationships via social media (Twitter, blog networks, etc.) and direct contact with bloggers you admire (comments, emails), and just having fun with and learning about your new craft.

You know that saying about a watched pot not boiling? Check your stats once a week or so and that's it. Before you know it, you'll be getting tons of new readers.
