I guess you might would consider this an ethics question??? 

I am going to be hosting an online party of a product.  On my blog, I am going to be doing a giveaway of product from the same company.  If I did both of these at the same time, would it be okay to direct the readers to the party (with full disclosure)?  It seems to me that it's kinda like an affiliate where you get a % for the sales you bring - I'm just getting a credit toward hostess rewards.  I can't give a % off, but I can give those who buy something another chance to win a product in a giveaway (hosted by the rep., not me).  (Btw, I am really doing this party to help a friend who just got started with the business and because I think the product is awesome, not to earn free stuff for myself.)

I'd appreciate thoughts about this!
